Busy holidays

Thursday, June 30th, 2005

I thought my 3-month break would give me more time to relax and shop for stuff to bring overseas. But looks like I’m wrong. The whole almost-2 weeks I’m in KL is filled with church activities. Busy busy busy.

I wana go shopping………

Oh, I’m going to Kuantan next Friday! GIG Kuantan…Guess that place will never be the same again, cos I know God will move so mightily. So excited about it, this is probably the last GIG for me, apart from the National GIG.

I sold my books in Taylor’s yesterday! Well, got to get rid of ALL my notes and passyears. Hmm, looks like the juniors DO know the value of our notes! The bad thing about yesterday is one lecturer came around checking if we’re selling any pirated books. She started confiscating them!! Luckily mine was still in the box and they’re still safe with me. I can buy a good pair of sport shoes for overseas with the money!! Yeah!

Who I am today…

"I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you."          1 Cor. 1 : 4-6

As I look back into my past, I realised how much I have changed and grown in God. Just like the verse above, because of God’s grace given to me in my life, I am enriched in all areas of my life. Each time I did something that seemed impossible before, I remember that it was God who has enriched me.

I could organise GIG SP, pulling churches together and inspiring youths to run after God, because of the boldness Christ placed in me and the perseverance He gave me when I was about to give up. I could do well in my studies, even in the midst of such tight schedule (my housemates and people close to me would know), because God gave me strength each time I’m stressed up and tired. I could say no to the temptations in my life, because Jesus said, "You can overcome because I have overcome the world." I got a place in Nottingham University, because God has made it possible for me, and I know He wants me there for a reason. I got 1000 pounds scholarship by Notts Uni, also because God chooses to bless me financially, on top of my government sponsorship. I am surrounded by awesome people in my life - my parents, brothers, CampusCity friends and my cool grandparents and relatives, all because God gave them to me.

God has blessed us in every way in our lives. It’s time we learn to count our blessings and praise God for the awesome things He has done in our lives.

REVIVAL!!

Tuesday, June 21st, 2005

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days."                                             Joel 2:28-29

Revival in Malaysia is coming soon. The trumpet call is sounded. And those who are ready will respond to it. Our time is now. Revival is at hand. It is time we Christians put aside the less important in life to pursue what matters to God. I want to be ready. For me, I choose to live a life completely sold out for Christ. Things like relationship I choose to set them aside because I want to seek God’s purposes for my life right now.

I believe each one of us God has created for a reason. We are individually a piece of puzzle that is special. That space in the jigsaw puzzle only we can fill. I want to a piece of that puzzle that’s willing to obey. Being placed in the hands of a Mighty God, to do great things for Him.

All of us have a part to play if we want revival in our nation. If one of us refuse to bow down to God’s calling, that space in the puzzle will never be filled. Let’s run this race with perseverance, let’s finish this race with a crown. Let’s be diligent to seek God’s destiny for our lives, to seek the very reason He created us for. And when we live to fulfill that purpose God has for our lives, we have fulfilled our purpose for living. And that is the greatest satisfaction you can get. More than having a great boyfriend, more than getting great results for exams, more than earning all the money in the world, more than being the most powerful person on earth. We live to please God.
